A haunted house becomes the focus of a demonic investigation so Brenda teams up with a trio of werewolves to solve the mystery. But when the house eats her, can they find a way to save her?

I met a trio of furballs when my BFF was dealing with a demon issue  and since then, I can’t stop thinking about them.

When the chance to investigate a possessed house appears on my desk—after I filch it from someone else’s—I know it’s fate we team up again.

However, I might have bitten off more than I can chew because suddenly my hunky puppies are demanding I become their permanent chew toy.

Me, mated? Eek, but also yum.
Did I mention they totally make my body purr?

Before we can indulge in a sweatily-ever-after, though, they’ll need to save me from Mr. Peabody’s house, because I do believe it ate me.

What an imagination this writer has – she continues to amaze me. Here we have shifters, witches, demons and rather unusually possessed houses that eat people!

All good rather naughty fun.

The cyborgs started out as human, people with lives, love and family. Then their country changed them. Made them in to something different and wiped their past. But they can't take away how they feel. In C791, Joe starts a revolution and brings his people together to find answers. What he finds instead is love. Poor F814 thought herself a robot, defective and unique among her kind, until a cyborg teaches her how to live again. When a geeky cyborg meets B785, a robotic princess, circuit boards sizzle.

I never finished book 1! I got 25% through where there was an interesting twist but not sufficient to keep me reading. When I realised that there would be nothing more that ultra alpha males and fighting and….

The Lost Son

Lazy Son Book Cover Lazy Son

The problem with being born with expectations is the failure to live up to any. Christopher might be the antichrist but taking over the world and leading the minions of darkness sounds like a lot of work. And while slacking is a sin his supposed dad Lucifer approves of, his lack of goals is a problem. Personally, Christopher would rather just work hard enough to make ends meet—and maybe buy a six-pack. But fate is conspiring against him. For some reason the dead won't stay in the ground, apparently he's not an only child, he has sisters and this hot chick he met in the cemetery refuses to sleep with him. It’s time for this lazy prince in waiting to rise to the occasion and embrace destiny—or at least make out with it

Another amusing spin-off from her successful Hell series.

Christopher - get the deliberate spin on the name? - is the son of Lucifer - that Lucie doesn't know he has. and he is very lazy. A slob in fact. Least work the best is his motto.

But
He does ensure that his cemetery remains safe from the nasties

and then he meets a lonely virgin and his life takes quite a twist.

An original idea and fun - riding a dinosaur? Who wouldn't want to? even if it is an unexpectedly animated skeleton.....

Now there is one thing I learnt in Judo when I was younger that being pint -sized myself gave you several advantages when fighting tall and bulky males.

1. They underestimated you. And

2. You could get under their guard and throw them down before they knew it, as your centre of gravity was underneath theirs.

So being pint sized, if you are feisty, is often a good thing.

So enjoyed this feisty kickass pint-sized female story as it had resonations…

Are the boys really bad?

A killer with a white picket fence. Suburbia, a great place for a man with secrets to hide—while investing in some solid real estate. The biggest drawback? Neighbors. In this case, a neighbor with sexy curves and a bright smile. Good thing she’s not his type. Single moms with annoying exes are on the do-not-date list. Stay away. Calvin wants to; it’s just not happening. He can’t help but find himself drawn to the chaos next door. And when danger threatens his suburban lifestyle, this assassin doesn’t hesitate to act. Killing people is easy. Domestication, on the other hand, terrifies him.

What a great name for an organisation of guys – plus 1 gal – who are assassins for hire – or ‘problem solvers’ as they put it.

With a cover story of being international real estate agents – which reminds of the real estate agents in my area called, wait for it, Hot Black Desiato.

So just who are the bad boys here? The BBI guys? Or the corrupt police they are happy to kill?

And should we like these bad boys who are American dreamboats? Well, they don’t kill women and children and do try to kill just bad guys. But being a UK citizen, I prefer my law enforcers not to use guns, but find myself conflicted as these are really good guys at heart… and protective of those who need it.

So a story I really enjoyed with good story-telling and style and a series that is clearly going to run through the guys and gal (see review of Pint Sized) and which I will read.
