This lone wolf gets the shock of his life when he gets a bill for his wedding in Vegas.

After a soap opera of a week where Rory meets his real father, attempts a hostile business takeover, torches the family business, and almost gets arrested for attempted murder, he decides a relaxing weekend is just what he needs.
Vegas has a way of making a man—even one who’s part wolf—forget his troubles. Rory does such a good job of wiping his mind he doesn’t even remember the wedding he receives an invoice for.
Did he do the unthinkable?
Rory sets out to find his blushing bride only to discover the one thing he never expected. Love. But can a wolf have a happily ever after with a mate who is on the run from danger?

This is a paranormal series of romances where there are wolves involved – well werewolves anyway.

And here we have one who is not really a very nice guy. It seems he ran away from Canada and lots of crimes, and then runs away again to Las Vegas, where he gets rather drunk and forgets what has happened.

And we have a heroine who has been captures by a Lion shifter group (think bad boys and motorbikes) and was held in the Canadian Woods until she escapes and ends up in Las Vegas.

And so we have a meeting and rather nice story.

I enjoyed this and thought Eve Langlais was on form here.

(8 Oct. 2013

Put in an asylum by her parents at age 7,  because she hears voices, Ella is broken out by a Vampire.  But she isn’t really mad, and the voices can manifest as poltergeists when Ella is threatened. turns out all is not as it seems.

An enjoyable foray into the world of vampires, ghosts and ghouls.. and really Eve, your view of what happens in an asylum is really nasty!

Eve Langlais always writes an enjoyable fantasy which moves along at a good pace and with nice touches of humour.

What happens when a Hitman gets Married?

The employees of Bad Boy Inc. are gathering for a celebration. The bride sported the latest in bullet proof corsets. The groom wore a gun. The guests came armed for action. But the cake blew up before they could eat it. As for the honeymoon, it’s going to be a mad chase across the globe dodging bullets and bombs to find the culprit who wants them all dead. Once upon a time, Darren fell for a woman while in the world’s most romantic city. In full view of the Eiffel tower he had his heart torn from his chest and stomped on. Time for revenge. Francesca played Darren for a fool, but he won’t let it happen again. Now that he’s found her, she’s going to pay for her actions. Problem is she’s getting under his skin. Rubbing against his skin. Making him remember those Paris days and hotter nights. Before he can decide if he’s crazy enough to fall in love with her again, everything explodes after the wedding.

Now this is a complex storyline.

There are plots within plots.

Who is leaking information? What do they want? What is the endgame? Why is BBI targeted?

And then along comes Fran – the model – and deceit.

An enjoyable action packed thriller – think James Bond with James being Jemima. Yes, a female assassin saves the day – again – and again.

This is an interesting series with absolutely no fantasy or super-naturals involved. Just heroes and heroines with somewhat dodgy attributes and jobs!

Left at the altar…

he left him at the altar, but the devil is making him keep his promise.

Destiny is calling Chris, yet someone forgot to give him an instruction manual on conquering the world. Being the #Antichrist is all well and good, but how is he supposed to know how to bring about Armageddon? He’s still waiting for his army of minions, the glory, the riches. And where is the respect?

You’d think any woman would be ecstatic at the thought of marrying the future ruler of the world.

Not Isobel.

She keeps spouting things like “forced to get married,” “love me for myself, not because Daddy made you.”

It doesn’t help that his psychotic mother with a penchant for playing with dead things has taken an interest. However, having her henchman of the apocalypse attempt to kidnap him isn’t the way to get in his good graces.

Things are starting to get complicated on Earth. Dark forces are rising, Chris’s powers are still developing—and he’s pretty sure his dad, Lucifer, wants him dead. What’s the destroyer of the world to do?

Point him to the nearest bar. This calls for more beer.

Now Christopher has a Ducky. Yes, the same girl he had museum adventures with.

She has this magical chastity belt which is very frustrating.

And after running off initially at the idea of marriage, she agrees to marry Chris, but only if her father can walk her down the aisle. The missing or is he dead, father.

And so the adventure begins.

A fun, flirty story with lots of strange happenings in Hell and elsewhere. A nicely written series running alongside the original Hell series and filling i some of the gaps, as well as opening up good potential for yet more characters’ stories.

Kittens can grow very large

A Demon Stole my Kitty Book Cover A Demon Stole my Kitty

I’m a witch. Not a good one or a bad one, although according to the snooty wizards, I’m a stain upon their robes.

But who cares what those snobs say?

So what do you do if your newly rescued kitten gets out and doesn’t come home? Especially if there is a good chance its body has been taken over by a demon? Why tickle it under the chin and hug it of course!

Yes its demons versus witches – and sorcerers – and all sorcerers are male misogynists – or are they?

A feisty witch (human and not having magic blood – or so the sorcerers claim) sets out to show the males just how demons should be fought. And how you can love some, and they will be faithful to you.  See kitty!

Great fun story. Lots of humour and snark. And yes, the males get shown up by the females!
