Six hunky, supernatural tradesmen.
One sarcastic, caffeine addicted bride.
A match made by fate … or karma?

My name is Arizona Smoke, and I have six husbands. Yup. Count 'em—six. Four sexy plumbers, one electric electrician ... and my last husband? Total prick. Our unconventional marriage is almost complete. All I need to do is reconcile with my first love, and rescue a man I’ve never met. Easy, right?

As if marrying a bunch of supernatural plumbers isn't hard enough, I also have to deal with the fact that my biological father and his six wives (yeah, I have six moms, too) are still hunting us, stalking us through sex parties hosted by demons and setting traps for us in the middle of underground supernatural raves. And you thought your family was dysfunctional!

All I wanted was a moment to breathe, a chance to get to know my new husbands in a way that was more than sexual—although I'm not exactly complaining about our time in the bedroom. But between my maniacal mother-in-law, some kidnapped lady-elementals, and the rich asshole I'm supposed to welcome into my new harem … when's a girl got time for dates? Let alone planning a seven-way ... wedding that is.

I'm Ari Smoke, spirit elemental, supernatural bada**, and hot-as-f*ck dragon chick.
Having six hot husbands is nice … but being hunted by evil sex demons, not so much.

ELEMENTS OF RUIN is a full-length comedic paranormal, reverse harem romance. This means our leading lady has six male love interests and doesn't have to choose between them. This book is full of steamy scenes, ridiculous plumbing puns, and heaps of action, intrigue, and ... well, more puns. This is book 2 of 3.

This is the next book in that punning reverse harem trilogy. And  it is just as steamy as the first book – and what’s more ends in a cliff-hanger! Forcing you therefore to order book 3 which is not yet out…. grrr

Anyway, here’s just a thought for a new career for her broke harem – Landscape Gardeners.

They have all the necessary skills.

Imagine the water features they could build – powered by electricity. pools, rills, waterfalls.

The delicate but effective lighting.

The wonderful decorative ironwork. The trellis, the benches, the features and statues.

And of course, the very healthy growing plants.

A fortune to be made…..

The Bear Shifter's Nanny Book Cover The Bear Shifter's Nanny

Falling in love with a murder suspect? Thrilling.

It's not easy being a shifter without a clan. But finally, Jasmine Rowland has a job at least. Well, being a nanny is not what she had dreamed of, but it pays the bills. Also, there are worse places to be than around that handsome Doctor Alava with his tight clothes, showing every vein and muscle of his body. But something is definitely wrong with him. What is he hiding?

Dr. Eneko Alava’s love left a long time ago. There is not such a thing as a mate for him anymore. All focus is on his beloved children and his practice, a medical clinic for shifters set up in the heart of bear shifter territory. But wait, why then is his inner animal panting for his nanny now? That isn’t supposed to happen.

And suddenly…

One suspect.

No place to hide.

With the law against them and time running out, can Eneko and Jasmine find love? Or does fate have other plans for them?

3 books about Bear Shifters reviewed here:

  1. The Bear Shifter’s Nanny. Jasmine Wylder

A young Jaguar shifter is a rare beast and doesn’t have a clan. Which is especially difficult in a town where shifters are viewed with suspicion and hostility by the ‘normal’ populace.

But shifters need medical treatment as much as anyone – well perhaps not quite as much – but they still need a doctor – and he wants to continue to operate a clinic even though he is accused of murder.

2. Sheltered by the Alpha Bear. Amelia Rock

I found this too obvious and the writing too distracting to both reading every page. Also the final job offer from a university/college was unlikely in the extreme. [2.5 stars]

3. Protected by the Billionaire Bear. Amelia Rock

I got seriously bored half-way through. The same story as her two previous books just dressed up slightly differently. [2]

Life is full of difficult decisions! Book 1 of 4 in the Knight Games Series Grateful Knight isn’t looking for love when she moves into a rent-free house on the edge of a graveyard. At twenty-two, all she wants is to recover financially so she can move back to the city where she belongs. But sparks fly when the gorgeous cemetery caretaker, Rick, introduces himself and mentions his suspicion that her new house might be haunted. Her attraction to him seems supernatural, and despite her resolve to not get involved, she literally can’t keep her hands off him. When things in Grateful’s house start moving on their own, another man enters her life, Logan, a sexy ghost with a dark secret. He says Rick isn’t what he seems, and indulging her passion for him could cost her soul. One thing’s for sure, magical forces are at work in the tiny town of Red Grove, and they’re converging on Grateful. Life will never be the same once she's forced to choose between the ghost and the graveyard.

An unusual take on the whole witches concept. Now I’ve read about witches that are tied to an area of land, but not ones tied to a graveyard – and one with a portal to hell that opens up in it no less!

So we have a new witch – Grateful Knight – and a house by a graveyard, and an inheritance she didn’t know was any more complicated than that. The 4 book series cover her story and that of her caretaker Rick through a number of trials and tribulations. All of which are quite original. Note that Rick is hunky and very old (vampire) but is linked magically to his witch – ie Grateful.

I really enjoyed this book – which I confess I had had for a while and never got around to reading. I went on to read the remainder of the series plus Logan – see later post – which is a spin -off. The Knight World series are also spin offs from Knight Games as so many interesting characters are introduced in this book and the remainder of the series tat needed their own stories told.

Haunted Houses….

Mr Peabody’s House Book Cover Mr Peabody’s House

A haunted house becomes the focus of a demonic investigation so Brenda teams up with a trio of werewolves to solve the mystery. But when the house eats her, can they find a way to save her?

I met a trio of furballs when my BFF was dealing with a demon issue  and since then, I can’t stop thinking about them.

When the chance to investigate a possessed house appears on my desk—after I filch it from someone else’s—I know it’s fate we team up again.

However, I might have bitten off more than I can chew because suddenly my hunky puppies are demanding I become their permanent chew toy.

Me, mated? Eek, but also yum.
Did I mention they totally make my body purr?

Before we can indulge in a sweatily-ever-after, though, they’ll need to save me from Mr. Peabody’s house, because I do believe it ate me.

What an imagination this writer has – she continues to amaze me. Here we have shifters, witches, demons and rather unusually possessed houses that eat people!

All good rather naughty fun.

Draken, by Solease Barner

1 star

Typical dragon shifter with a temper and huge Alpha issues meets human and…

You know the story, I know the story, we all know the story. So why bother to read it?

  • Noble Secrets by Cecilia Dominic 1 star as got bored quickly.
  • Call of the Dragon by Elianne Adams

I got really bored by chapter 20 of 27 chapters. It was fight – heal – fight – heal – fantasy land – traitor – and so on.

2 stars as I did get more than half-way through.

  • First Light by Tami Lund

Prequel to Light Bearer series.

Started OK but then I got bored. 2

  • Treasured Find by Nancy Corrigan

4 stars

  1. All Royals are twins.
  2. They don’t look like their siblings – why?
  3. All royals have 3 shifter animals inside them and are therefore extremely rare.

I bought the continuation story about messed up Royal Devin.

  • Beautiful Mistake by Nancy Corrigan

The Royals look for Molly, Megan’s twin.

Too repetitive from 1st book. 2
