Now eat your scone!

An honest review for NetGalley

This is the story of a tea -shop - and a woman who turns her back on the fast life to cater for the tourists in a small Oxfordshire Tea Shop.

Now for me, this story had overtones of Midsummer Murders.

scone

The village described sounded just like one that the TV show would have used including the requisite nosy old biddies thinking they were a reincarnation on Miss Marples. Even down to the location as Midsummer Murders is set in the Chilterns and Oxfordshire.

But we added in Oxford university politics and rivalries and people hiding their true nature.

Overall not an exciting read but I didn't guess the identity of the killer so for that I just give it 4 stars.
